These terms cover tickets and our offers on this site by DanceSimple ("we"). Contact: hello@dancesimple.org.

1. Tickets

A ticket admits one named person to the event on the date printed on it. It is for that person and that date only, and is not transferable to another person or another date.

No refunds. Once you have paid for a ticket, it cannot be refunded, including if you change your mind or cannot come. Because a ticket is for leisure on a specific date, the 14 day cancellation right in the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply to it (regulation 28(1)(h)).

If we cancel an event, we refund every unused ticket for that event in full to the card you paid with, and we email every ticket holder to say so.

Show the ticket page on your phone at the door. Each ticket admits once; if you leave and come back the same night, the door helper can let you back in.

Tickets are sold online, on your own phone, up to the start of the event; after that, you pay at the door. A ticket from a guest list link can be taken until the event ends.

2. Offers

We run offers from time to time, such as discounts, two-for-one, bring a friend, and others in future. Each offer's conditions are shown with it on our website. We are not obliged to run any offer and can discontinue any offer at any time, with or without a reason. A ticket you have already paid for stays valid.

3. Taking part safely

Social dancing is a physical activity, and like any physical activity it carries a risk of injury, such as strains, sprains, falls or knocks from other dancers.

You are responsible for your own health and safety, and for the safety of the people around you. We have no control over your body, your dance partners or the other dancers, so dance within your own limits, take care of your partner and the people near you, and stop if anything hurts.

If you have an injury or a health condition, tell your partner before you dance, and check with your doctor if you are not sure dancing is right for you.

You take part at your own risk. We are not liable for any injury, illness or loss, whether it shows during the event or later, that is caused by you, your dance partners or anyone else at the event, or by a health condition you have.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

4. Code of conduct

We run every event for everyone's enjoyment and safety. When you book, you agree to:

• Ask before you dance, and accept a "no, thank you" gracefully. Anyone may say no to a dance without giving a reason.
• Respect personal space: no unwanted touching, comments or advances, on the dance floor or off it.
• No harassment, discrimination or abusive behaviour, at the event or in messages to other dancers.
• Dance safely on a busy floor: no lifts, dips or drops your partner has not agreed to, and keep to the space around you.
• Come fresh: personal hygiene matters when you dance close.
• Do not come under the influence of drugs, or drink so much that you put yourself or others at risk.
• Follow the instructions of our team and teachers.
• Tell a member of our team if anyone makes you feel uncomfortable. We take every report seriously.

We may refuse entry or ask a person to leave for behaviour that puts others at risk or makes them unwelcome, and we may ban a person from future events. A banned person is refunded any unused ticket in full and any membership is cancelled at once; that is the only remedy. The door helper will not discuss a ban on the day; the operator will by email.

Your Dance card. You may write first names only, nothing that identifies another person beyond that, and nothing abusive. We may remove a card that breaks this.

5. Prices, payment and your data

Prices are shown on the site in pounds and there is nothing to add to them: the price you see is the price you pay. Payment is taken by Stripe; we never see your card number. Your name and email are handled as set out in our privacy notice.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing in them limits your statutory rights.
